Product feedback, troubleshooting, privacy, and data requests
support@yongdu.topChinese and English messages are welcome.
Include the issue, app version, iOS version, device model, and steps to reproduce it. Screenshots with personal asset information obscured can help. Do not send complete backups or passwords. The email link opens a mail app without sending anything automatically.
Getting started
Yongdu supports iOS 17.0 or later, with Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese (Taiwan and Hong Kong), English, and Japanese. Add an asset with its purchase price, date, planned usage period, and valuation to review its cost. Record financing and ongoing costs where applicable.
No Yongdu account is required. Local recordkeeping and cost calculations work offline; exchange-rate refreshes and iCloud operations need a network connection and the relevant system services.
Understanding the numbers
Planned daily cost divides planned net cost by planned usage days. Current amortized daily cost subtracts current value from costs incurred to date, then divides by elapsed usage days, with a minimum of one day. These metrics serve different purposes and need not match.
If results differ from expectations, check purchase dates, planned residual value, current valuation, sale status, additional costs, financing, and currencies. Depreciation is a model estimate, not a guaranteed resale price. See the in-app guide for detailed calculation rules.
Sold assets become read-only, and the main metric switches from planned to actual daily cost using the sale price and holding days. Purchase planning supports one-time payments and loans; saving opens the new asset details.
Purchases & subscriptions
Three plans, the same Pro features. Monthly and annual renew automatically; lifetime is a one-time purchase. See current App Store prices in the app. Basic tracking and calculations are free; expiry does not delete assets.
If Pro is missing, use the purchasing Apple Account and choose Settings > Yongdu Pro > Restore Purchases. Do not purchase again while approval or access updates are pending. If plans or prices fail to load, check your connection and retry.
Cancel renewal in iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Yongdu. Uninstalling the app or buying lifetime access does not cancel an existing subscription. Manage it separately to avoid further renewals.
Purchases and refunds: if you make an App Store transaction, Apple handles billing and refund requests through its processes at Report a Problem. Contact the developer for product-functionality issues.
Backup and restore
Export a full JSON backup in Settings > Backup & Restore. CSV is for viewing and organizing; restore with JSON. Import replaces local data and turns sync off without deleting cloud records. Back up first; enabling sync again merges cloud assets back in.
With active Pro, enable Settings > iCloud Sync. Check the same iCloud account, permissions, connection, and sync status. Local saves and cloud notifications trigger foreground checks; returning to the app checks again. Background real-time sync is not guaranteed. First sync merges both sides. For conflicts, export a backup before choosing a version; choosing a deleted version propagates deletion.
Manage and delete data
Deleting an individual asset also deletes it on other devices when sync and Pro are active. To clear local content, go to Settings > Backup & Restore > Clear All Local Data and confirm with your local passcode; set one in Password & Security first if needed. A local reset turns sync off and does not propagate a bulk deletion to iCloud.
Reset removes local assets, custom categories, tags, and hidden categories. Language, currency, theme, exchange-rate cache, and local passcode remain. Manage the passcode separately in Password & Security. Export records you need before this irreversible action.
Turning sync off or letting Pro expire does not delete local or cloud data. Manage exported files, other devices, and cloud copies separately; re-enabling sync can bring cloud assets back. Individual deletions sync, so keep independent backups. There is no developer account, and the developer cannot remotely clear your device or private iCloud data.
To request handling or deletion of emails or attachments you previously sent to the developer, contact us from the relevant address. No asset backup is required.
Troubleshooting
Rates come from ExchangeRate-API (open.er-api.com), refreshed every 24 hours and cached. Check connectivity and the update time if refresh fails. Offline use needs an existing cache; rates may be unavailable on a first offline launch. Rates are estimates, not bank settlement or live transaction quotes.
Forgotten passcode: the developer cannot read or remotely reset a device Keychain passcode. If previously enabled Face ID / Touch ID still works, try unlocking and exporting a backup before contacting support. Reinstalling is not a guaranteed passcode-reset method.
Missing reminders: check the in-app reminder setting, iOS notification permission, plan-end date, and Focus mode. Reminders are local notifications.
Purchases and refunds: if you make an App Store transaction, Apple handles billing and refund requests through its processes at Report a Problem. Contact the developer for product-functionality issues.
